Possibilities // Artwork from Memory 1
I was not that girl who was into horses growing up. That said, I DO have a favorite memory in which included a “ My Little Pony” !
When I was a kid, I was walking down an aisle at “Toys R’ Us” with my mom and saw a display of “My Little Pony” stuffed animals. It was a whole wall of them. All the different colors and symbols were vibrating.
There were so many choices and versions to LOVE.
I felt like they were resonating for me. I don’t remember having time to choose or fully look at them, but I loved whatever I got. I just loved looking at the WALL OF CHOICES and tickled at the many expressions. I feel that inspired and shaped the way I design things and feel for the way I love at something.
I created different versions of interpretive feelings. One from my perspective now ( sketchbook drawing ) and a few inner-child versions that include some “Contour Drawing” ( which is not looking at the paper while drawing, also in the sketchbook ). It allowed me to free flow and trust the process. It allowed me to just feel and not obsess about details and perfection.
I’m honoring the memory and happy to share a story! :)
